BALL HOCKEY INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES LINE UP FOR BAUER ALL ONTARIO CUP PROGRAM

BhiLogoLondon, ON – Wednesday, January 27, 2016 – Ontario’s premier ball hockey league, Ball Hockey International (BHi) has announced their schedule for the 2016 Bauer All Ontario Cup (AOC).  This cumulative tournament takes place between February and November culminating in the Weekend of Champions Tournament where an overall champion will be crowned.  This year’s AOC will comprise of the elite level Open division as well Intermediate, Recreational, and Barn divisions.

AOC Tournaments include:

Spring Teaser March 11-13 BHi St. Catharines
April Fools April 22-24 BHi London
Summer Showdown July 22-24 BHi Welland
September Shootout September 9-11 BHi Brantford
Weekend of Champs October 21-23 BHi St. Catharines

The Format of the AOC program is as such:

  • Two tournament wins earns free entry to Weekend of Champs.
  • One tournament win and one second place finish earns $100 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • One tournament win earns $150 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • Two second place finishes earns $175 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • One second place finish earns $200 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.

Registration costs are $485 (taxes included) for Open and Intermediate divisions and $425 (taxes included) for Recreational and Barn divisions.

Rink 2

In conjunction with the AOC, BHi also runs the Bauer Youth All Ontario Cup (YAOC) for players ages 9 – 16.  The YAOC program is composed of four tournaments, culminating with the YAOC Weekend of Champions.

YAOC Tournaments include:

Youth Spring Teaser April 8-10 BHi St. Catharines
Summer Showdown June 24-26 BHi London
July Jammer July 8-10 BHi Welland
Weekend of Champs August 12-14 BHi Brantford

The Format of the YAOC program is as such:

  • Two tournament wins earns free entry to Weekend of Champs.
  • One tournament win and one second place finish earns $100 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • One tournament win earns $150 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • Two second place finishes earns $175 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.
  • One second place finish earns $200 admin fee to Weekend of Champs.

To register, the cost is $420 per team (taxes included) for each individual tournament.

Combined, the AOC and YAOC will draw in excess of 2,000 participants and fans into the host cities creating an immediate economic impact.  Hosting these tournaments increases community visibility and provides positive financial impact on area hotels, merchants and restaurants.
