STCATHARINES, ON – Wednesday, February 10, 2016 – The Canadian Lacrosse League (C-Lax) is pleased to announce its Players of the Week for week four of the 2016 season.

Offensive Player of the Week: Bryan Neufeld – Niagara Lock Monsters
–.Neufeld was instrumental in Niagara’s comeback victory over Durham scoring 4 goals including the game winner.

Honourable Mention: Dan Keane – Southwest Cyclops –.Keane led the charge for the Cyclops on offence scoring eight goals and adding three assists in two games.

Defensive Player of the Week: Angus Dineley – Barrie Blizzard – Netminder Angus Dineley was outstanding on Sunday allowing just 7 goals on 51 shots for his first victory of 2016.

Honourable Mention: Eric Shewell – Durham Turfdogs –Shewell was a defensive force on Sunday.  His physical play disrupted the Niagara offence causing numerous turnovers.

Transition Player of the Week: Zach Tomkinson – Barrie Blizzard – Tomkinson had the hot hand on Sunday scoring three goals and adding 1 assist for the Blizzard.

Honourable Mention: Corey Thompson – Ohsweken Demons – Thompson was a force on both ends of the floor for the Demons, scoring his first career C-Lax hat trick.

Rookie of the Week: Corey Thompson – Ohsweken Demons – Thompson is establishing himself as one of the league’s elite rookies this season.  His hat trick on Sunday gives him 7 goals and 4 assists on the season.

Honourable Mention: Brandon Slade – Niagara Lock Monsters – Slade picked up a goal and an assist on Sunday to give him 2 goals and 7 assists in his rookie season.
